And it speaks volumes to this show’s penchant for character development that she’s not my favorite character in the canon. You know, from “The Beach Car”? She’s a recurring character in the canon, albeit with more limited appearances in the next three books compared to this one. Watching it in multiple sittings? Barely helps.Īnd the agony is signaled with a return from The Cat. Watching it in one sitting is sure to shatter your heart. This is not cringe comedy – this is the most frustrating, realistic drama put on animated television. It’s a hard one to watch in the best way possible. And it’s one of my favorite episodes in the entire franchise… which, quite frankly, is saying something, given that we have yet to reach “The Ball Pit Car”, “The Wasteland”, and “The New Apex”. It is one of the most ingenious and painful episodes of Book 1, which is saying something. I think that this episode was what sent Infinity Train from “excellent show” to “personal Top 5 of all time”.
